MeetFighters News
Donation Update
I'm happy to announce a long-awaited request: credit card payments for donations.
If you enjoy MeetFighters.com and you haven't done it already, you can donate to our site now with new payment options:
Accepted payment methods:
- Credit Cards
- Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American express
- Apple Pay, Google Pay
- Local payment options
- EPS, iDEAL, Bancontact, Sofort, GiroPay, Przelewy24, SEPA Direct Debit
- As well as the good, old-fashioned Wire Transfer / direct bank transfer
- Transfers can take a few days, but no payment provider is involved. MeetFighters gets 100% of your donation.
Sadly this comes with a tradeoff. We are no longer able to accept PayPal donations. But I think the new options are more than making up for it.
The good news is the price stays the same:
- Starting with BRONZE level at 14GBP/ 15EUR/ 20USD
- Up to PLATINUM level for 44GBP/ 50EUR/ 60USD
All these perks last for a year. You get the same benefits regardless of how much you donate (BRONZE, GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM). The only difference is how much you love us and the color of your medal. You can view the status and expiration date of your donation near the top of the Settings page.
You can also gift a donation to a friend of yours: simply visit his profile, click on 'More,' and then on 'Gift.'
Your donations help pay the cost of running MeetFighters, and enable us to launch side projects like https://www.chatfighters.com, and our latest site, https://www.watchfighters.com, which is planned to launch later this year.
If you are an individual content creator, looking for sponsors, or if you run your own video portal website, you can get in touch with us for future cooperation. Send a mail to: [email protected] or contact us on the Help and Support page.
Big thanks to all current donors! If you aren't one of them yet, click here to make a donation!
Stay safe and fit!

2021-03-29 21:25Will there be a cross boarder fee charged if wrestlers in US pay by Credit Card?

In general the merchant has no influence over foreign transaction and/or exchange fees. These are levied by the card issuer, not the payment processor.
I’m with three different banks, one charges me for foreign transactions, the other two don’t. Guess which card I’m not using when abroad?
The only way around this would be if MF had agreements with payment processors in every single county, like some airlines do. I don’t think that’s feasible. If you’re concerned about fees, you’ll have to check with your bank/card issuer.
Having said that, it would be a good idea if it said on the payment form in which country Meetfighters is based for payment purposes.

I m not really concerned ; in fact, I don't mind paying those small fees, but out of curiosity, I wonder if people will get charged with those small fees and start to ask like "oh why do i have those small fees and what are those".

If you get a Chase Bank Sapphire savings and/or checking account the sapphire pays for those expenses and not only that, no wiring money bank-to-bank fees and you know those $4 charges if you getb ATM money out of a non- network machine, they pay that, too. They paid me $600 to move my money from one bank I had to their bank. Who does that? Also if you travel moderately to a lot the card to have is not those cards with $400 annual fee just because they are black, check into the free Capital One World Elite card because its benefits ARE comparable to those $400/year black cards. And there is no annual charge, it's amazing.

2021-03-29 22:32Finally MF does not just use PayPal. I stopped donating cuz I refuse to sign up to other sites such as PayPal or Apple or Google Pay that they can lose ur info or sell ur info to spammers.
MF good move. I will donate again.

In certain countries, you could use a credit card over PayPal. Which did not require a PayPal account. It was still PayPal, you just entered your Credit Card number instead of your PayPal credentials. You probably missed the PayPal logos. For 11 Years we had only PayPal, and for 9 months we had additional wire transfers.

2021-03-30 01:48I actually like the PayPal option because it's masked my credit card information from websites. With multiple sites being hacked lately, anything is possible, and an extra level of security always made me feel better. Even though credit card companies also sell your information to their Partners, you have to physically opt out of that service, to not get those emails from third-party vendors. I honestly think PayPal should have still been an option, but you guys are the admin

PayPal decided to stop accepting payments for MeetFighters.com.
I personally would have kept it, the more options, the better.

Would that have anything to do with how the site is categorized? I saw a ruling back in 2019 where they started to not support adult sites and we're withdrawing a lot of approved merchants.

PayPal decided to stop accepting payments for MeetFighters.com.
It is not possible to bring them back, at least not in the near future.
The new payment option is much discrete as Paypal is - or ever was.

2021-03-30 08:10How is the payment going to appear on my credit card statement? is it going to be "meet fighters"
Admin
2021-03-30 15:14(Válaszképp erre)
It shows "MEETFIGHTERS." Previously, this was not the case, and it created a lot of chargebacks as members did not recognize their payments.
I understand that MEETFIGHTERS could be a problem to have on your bank statement. In this case, you can choose "wire transfer," which will not show MeetFighters or anything else which would be associated with this website.
I will update the checkout page to include this information as well.
For all questions asking "is XYZ accepted." Just try it, go to the checkout page, and you get a list of possible options. Some of them are depending on your location/country or the device you use.
(Apple Pay is only visible on iOS with Safari and if you did set up your Apple Pay).
If you don't find a suitable payment option, you can close the donation page again. No harm is done.
If new payment options are available for us, we will add them.

This is a great improvement over Paypal. Could you maybe also add to the payment page in which country Meetfighters is based for payment purposes? This would allow punters to figure out if there will be any foreign transaction fees or not.

2021-03-31 01:21I wonder why PayPal have stopped accepting payments. Is it the same situation the website Movimus Wrestling faced years ago, where PayPal stopped working with them out of pure discrimination against a pro LGBT company?
