Yes I’ve had both done a few years back and am careful. No high impact and normally start a match from the kneeling position. Further, no intense BJJ nor full on sub anymore. Just too nervous about someone wrenching my knee!
Good luck and stick with the physio.
Yes, I had both done two years ago. Back at wrestling now but I am careful with them. Let my opponent know.
Best is to ask your physio how much you can do without hurting yourself. Mine encouraged me to do tons. Not going to lie, it was very painful, but the result is well worth it. The flexibility I got back is well beyond what was expected. If you go light on the physio, your leg flexibility will suffer.
I had 1 knee & 1 hip replaced in 2014 & 2017. Both fine now, no pain & am back to wrestling.
No problems, apart from being older!
My advice is - go easy to start with & stop if you get any pain.
Ok, thanks, 6 + weeks from surgery. Started back at the gym, and using a knee pad to lightly get on the floor. No wrestling yet.
Thanks for the information.
