Love between men can definitely include physical fights as a way to resolve issues. It has to come with the understanding that the fight is a consensual way to release stress while understanding that what is argued about should be resolved later and making love later should seal the understanding
Am I the only gay guy, who is actually into consensual "street fighting", while still dreaming to have a romantic relationship? Preferably one with a like minded and equally strong person, who wants to fight once in a while?
I'm not talking about a toxic violent environment, where uncontrolled fights happen, but an actual romantic relationship where fights happen as a consensual agreement. For example when one challenges the other, because he's angry with him. For me personally fighting and romance doesn't cancel each other. It's the opposite: If I don't have a partner, who wants to fight me sometimes, I lack any sexual connection. Yet I still don't need any toxicity outside of that scenario, because who wants to be treated badly? Only thing, that really concerns me is the long term brain damage and the overall risk of injury, but I guess that could be avoided by not doing it too often. Like once a month probably wouldn't be that dangerous, right? Martial artists basically do the same thing.
I know it doesn't sound realistic and who knows if it ever could be, but I can't be the only person, who's dreaming of that scenario? Does anyone else have an opinion on this topic?
You're not alone by any means! Buddy bonding through fighting is very hot! Of course I have a good bit of agonophilia, so there's that. Sounds like you may have as well.
Yes I do. I mean many people have it but most people just wrestle with their partner. Wrestling is much safer and isn't truly connected to injury or damage to the brain in the long run. It's more like a game than a fight. The difference for me is, that I actually bond via real fighting. I can't even say, that I have a general lack of empathy. If I have a partner I truly love, I'd actually feel bad for fighting him, but the more I love him, the more I wanna experience it. I also consider it extremely romantic. lol

Agreed. I personally see love between men as something slightly different than love between a man and a woman. Way more martial.

It's not like I asked you directly. Just like anyone else, I obviously have some other standards aside from the fighting aspect as well.
Considering our massive amounts of past opponents and the huge distance both of us would be willing to travel, I'm sure it will happen one day.
