davey123 on here put me in the Gator and when I am next down South I'm going to hook up with Ringwrestler123 to have a Skull Murphy Style Match with him - we've discussed and planned it for a long time!
I think the key is to make sure you have your hand over the opponents mouth so that submission calls are impossible - and legs or arms flaying around in the air just don't count!
good to know. shame it can't be modified so i can sell it longer, but i would still love to be locked in it at least once. I'd love to see the likes of u in it :)
Yeah I agree. They submit right away. I would love to see them punished and held in the hold for longer. Gradually applying the pressure to prolong the punishment. Still you can prolong the weakeners. Headscissors, kneedrops, clotheslines etc. knowing they're being setup for the Gator. We should work on a way to be able to apply it for longer
I've had the Gator applied to me twice, by the same guy, about 20 min apart and I have to say I found it considerably more painful when it was applied when I was on my knees and he was also kneeling behind me with one knee in my back. This really stretched my abs and hurt my back, whereas standing up I felt I could slightly alleviate the pain (I was slightly taller than him so could keep my feet on the floor which I think is important).
Should add, the first time he did it (standing) it was at my request after I'd shown him how (I'd already lost the match and was being put in submission holds for pleasure) whereas the second was his response to something that happened so it was done with a bit more feeling, which might have made a difference to the pain level!

I think your only option is to submit immediately and hope your opponent releases without delay.
There isn't a way to apply the hold without having your opponent in trouble.

Too hot for words. My all time favourite has to be the tag match with Dr. Death against Kid McCoy and Greg Valentine.
Love taking the Gator myself from heels that can apply it effectively ... their hand over ya gob making a submission cry impossible ... bring it on!
