Older Fighters are the Best

It may be easiest to find an already existing event that has brackets for seniors as some of the larger wrestling and jiujitsu tourneys seem to have. Some cannot afford cross country travel expense. Also various cities have free or low cost open mat sessions that anyone may attend.

I strongly suggest NYCWrestlefest which takes place every February. Many guys who attend are in our age category.

There is an annual gay themed event (but open to all) in Las vegas every January in Las Vegas called the sin city shootout that has freestyle wrestling as well as grappling (no gi jiujitsu,basically submission wrestling) in which senior sare welcomed and participate. A car is not needed in Las Vegas which makes it easier as well. This might be a good event for many here.

Those of us in this age group know what we want! We want to wrestle!!
We should get together somewhere and have a weekend of matches and good man to man fun! Hang out, wrestle, box, fight and enjoy the company of others who like to fight!

It would be cool to have a tournament once a year like the Clash or Hillside...it could be called "Silver Foxes Wrestling Event" or something such as that.

How about getting together at one of the scheduled open mat sessions available in many cities? Plenty of people at all levels with which to practice

Never heard of 'open mat sessions' being available in many cities. Certainly not around where I live. I've heard of mats open to the public for a fee in the U.K.

Usually open mat sessions are publicized a lot. An exception is in San Diego where events such as "Jiujitsu in the Park" and other open events are mentioned. The BJJ schools often have them but you will have to check their websites and/or call them for more info. Some high schools have them as well off season. In addition cities with wrestling clubs for adults (go to themat.com to find them)may have them as well. Unfortunately u have to associate or inquire locally. There are Facebook groups as well that may mention them. Sometimes open mats are members only, some for all, many free, some have a small mat fee. Much safer than a hotel room and many more people with whom to practice. Hope this helps.

Will have to look into it. In the meantime, I have mats of my own here in Arlington VA and 10 x 10 ft space in the cellar---more space in the back yard (private). Have my preferences, yet have yet to refuse to wrestle/spar anyone who is safe, sober, and clean. Profile here has the details.

Yea I know, they want sex or some kind of fetish. I want too wrestle or box. I know it's a turn on it is for me. But I love the ring. If it happens it happens. But box or wrestle. And shake hands after the fight and be friends

How about non scripted real wrestling taken at a pace comfortable forceach person. Thischeel/jobber stuff of deciding ahead of time who will win or lose makes it no longer real wrestling. I welcome the chance to practice atca mutually cinfortable level. Thanks

I totally agree. That's why like the old school wrestling 🤼‍♀️ like back in the 40'and 50's. But then again those probably were scripted too. Still gota love it.

Yes I totally agree. Wrestle or box at a slow pace light punches enough the fight. No competition. Not youn any more. Plus physical problems but this senior is not down for the count yet. I'll even sun on the. Each in my speedo's life is too short.

Your never too old to fight or train younger fighter, play wrestling pro fantasy fights nude wrestling and boxing you have to work out keep moving

And now just the mauler. Life is a fight. Too survive as long as you can. If you don't use you body too fight or doing some thing you will loose it. And it will I mean will lose it.

So true do what I need to do Pro fantasy mostly but always barefooted and brief or no gear! Though I am gay I wrestle all straight bi or gay AGGRESSIVE REDHEADED HEEL for most but also give two hour massages for dudes I work over! ATLANTA!

Because I offer anyone various styles I do get more matches PARTNERED so only matches at their place or hotel/motels YUCK! I do it all oil too! Workout at local hospital more for endurance no lifting weights per se but do use machines up to 120lbs Yeah I am 67 so we could have some fun am sure!

Men over 60 can teach young wrestlers pro moves and moves that can bring a long suffering jobber to a pin or complete humiliation- to THINK that an older man can manhandle them??? Bring it on wimps
