I have always been a big fan of wrestling/fight scenes in movies,especially when including a bearhug. big thanks for all the links shared so far.
there are two scenes that i remember from my childhood which unfortanutely was never able to find on youtube (or other platform). it was a random watch on television so i cant remember the movie title and that doesnt help with the search...
one was a kind of "jungle boy" movie (unfortunately not the one available on Youtube), where the poor skinny jungle boy gets on fight in the forest with a big bald chubby monk and gets some tight squeeze where he suffers well. not a long bearhug but a really nice one.

the other scene is from a typical underground fight tournament VHS type of movie, where on one side there is the movie hero going through the rounds and on the other hand a bearish big guy, where they eventually meet up in the final. great match including a bearhug. there so many of these kinds of movies on youtube, but was never able to come across with this specific one..

any hints/suggestions are more than welcome :)

It's from a 70's russian film called Legend of Rustam. The older man is the King and he finally realizes that the younger man was his son.

I can't believe I finally found a video with the kind of bear hug I've been wanting to watch. The two men squeezing each other at the same time. I get extremely excited watching this fight. The sounds of voices and cracks are mesmerizing. It is a pity that they are dressed and that the coward kills his opponent with a knife. He should have continued the fight.

All true. Tom was also a bodybuilder, and Canadian. I believe he also competed in the Worlds Strongest man, not sure what year.

The Billy Kiss character in The Big Brawl was an awesome bearhugger. He was a big dude, built and attired like a circus strongman, complete with shaved head and handlebar mustache. True to his name, he would give his opponent a big kiss while finishing him off (and sometimes killing him).

OH yeah, gave his victims the kiss then the evil grin as he crushed them, cant tell you how many times that scene got me turned on. Jobbergeek.

TV not movies: Bonanza, Hoss applied some great bear hugs in fight scenes. Movie: Night in the City with Richard Widmark. about wrestling in the 30's I think...excellent bear hug scene there.

Always loved the top of the cage sweaty bearhug at the end of the movie "Mad Bull". Here is the youtube clip of the end of the match, and the bearhug starts about 2:40.

hey men, one my fav bearhug scenes was in a fight in movie call Stone Cold. Brian Bosworth fights a biker dude and gets locked in his bearhug.

hey man, that was one of my fav bearhug scenes too, been so long since I've seen it I forgot lol! had that movie on VHS and used to watch the fight scene over and over haha. as someone mentioned, the other dude was Tom McGee, a Canadian bodybuilder and wrestler. gonna have to see if I can find that tape, and a VCR to play it!!
