glad you enjoyed it. now days this kind of holds have been lost and it's all about high flying acrobatics. nobody would last this long in a bear hug today. I like these old school holds better.

I was always a Warrior fan. Who was the hugger? I must search for that one. The first guy I ever met for wrestling was very anti-bearhugs, so I never got to experience it until later, but when I did, wow I was hooked.

Good call. Those are some big boys for sure. I guess what it really comes down to is are we talking about arm size, strength, definition? I’d definitely put them right up there in terms of sheer size and power as well.

Talking about guys on this site that are known for their bearhugs, you have to include Swenrique on that list. His reviews all say the same thing, he's massive, extremely strong, and if he wraps you up, you're done. He's also a great guy, we've talked but not wrestled, at least not yet.

Which pro wrestler, past of present, has the most powerful bearhug?

My all time favorite was Sailor Art Thomas. I saw him submit a huge opponent with his bearhug when I was a kid

He was awesome but we cannot forget the Beast, Yukon Eric and probably the strongest of them all Doug Hepburn, strongman turned wrestler for a short period of time.

Hepburn was amazing and did look awesome.

I'll admit that I haven't ever seen him in action, but he definitely looks like he could apply a mean bearhug.

Gotta go with the Big Show. He loved to crush his opponents with bearhugs.
